Day 14
Tuamotu Archipelago: Rangiroa
At Rangiroa, one of the largest atolls in the world, we stop for a day of swimming and
snorkelling or scuba-diving in the warm, turquoise lagoon. Described by some as an underwater jewellery box, these waters are noted for their stunning coloured corals and clouds of tropical fish. Here, there is also the chance to visit a pearl farm where you may find it hard to resist the temptation to buy the ultimate Polynesian souvenir – a perfectly formed, shimmering black pearl.
